Skate Like a Girl: Empowering Riders With Skatelite

Empowering Every Rider, One Board at a Time

For more than two decades, Skate Like a Girl has been creating opportunities for women, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive skaters to build confidence, leadership, and community—both on and off the board.

With chapters in Seattle, Portland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, the nonprofit organization continues to grow its impact through youth programs, summer camps, clinics, and dedicated skate sessions designed to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for skaters of all experience levels.

Wheels of Fortune 13: Skatelite’s Contribution

In July 2026, Skate Like a Girl hosted the 13th edition of Wheels of Fortune (WOF)—its internationally recognized skateboarding event celebrating community, creativity, and progression. Since its debut in 2009, Wheels of Fortune has brought together skaters from around the world in Seattle for a weekend filled with skateboarding, education, live music, and community connection.

Richlite was proud to support this year's event by donating Skatelite ramp surfacing for the competition. Throughout the weekend, participants showcased their skills, enjoyed live performances, completed a city-wide skate quest, and celebrated alongside friends old and new. Photography credit: Azusa Nigo

"I started Wheels of Fortune when I was 19 years old on a hope and prayer that one day the girls' division wouldn't be an afterthought. I never could have imagined that something that began as a podunk girls skate gathering—complete with spray-painted Barbies for trophies—would still be around and relevant 13 editions later."
—Kristin Ebeling, Founder of Skate Like a Girl, as quoted in Thrasher Magazine
