Whalelite Fiberglass Backerboard

Whalelite is an exceptionally robust and sustainable material engineered specifically as a fiberglass backerboard for marine and composite applications. Manufactured in the USA by Richlite, it is produced by layering high-grade custom FSC®-certified paper with a thermosetting resin and pressing it into a dense, structural panel.

Recognized for its durability and performance, Whalelite offers outstanding screw retention, high compressive strength, and excellent resistance to moisture and corrosion in demanding environments. The face is intentionally left unsaturated to promote strong fiberglass bonding, making it ideal for composite layups and marine construction.

Important: Whalelite is not designed for architectural surface applications such as countertops or finished panels. The white appearance is the result of the unsaturated paper surface, which is engineered for fiberglass adhesion — not for exposed or decorative use.
