Expansion Contraction
We recommend allowing a 3/8” gap on all four sides of the panel.
Rain Screen
Richlite is best installed as a rainscreen application. This allows for equalized air on all 4 sides of the panel and allows for free thermal expansion and contraction. Traditionally, we see the 5/16” (8mm) thick panels installed on wood (or Richlite) furring strips or extruded aluminum hat and J-channels spaced at 24” o.c. with color-matched stainless steel face fasteners.

UV Stability
Our Slate color is the most color stable with UV exposure. It will patina over time; however, it has the least drastic color change of our color offerings.
