Exterior Cladding

Richlite is often considered the best product for exterior cladding due to its durability, resistance to weather and ease of maintenance. It is a composite material made from resin-infused paper and is water-resistant, making it perfect for use in outdoor applications. Richlite is environmentally friendly as it is made from FSC®-certified material, and is highly sustainable. It is also fire-resistant and is an excellent thermal insulator, which makes it a popular choice for energy-efficient buildings. Due to its lightweight construction, it is easy to handle and install. These features make Richlite a great option for exterior cladding.

Richlite is best installed as a rainscreen application. This allows for equalized air on all four sides of the panel and allows for free thermal expansion and contraction.

 

Richlite is typically 5/16” (8mm) thick panels installed on wood (or Richlite) furring strips or extruded aluminum Hat and J-Channels spaced at 24” o.c. with color matched stainless steel face fasteners.

MATTE BLACK

Richlite’s Slate color is the best matte black on the market which enhances the refinement to any residential or commercial property.

LOW MAINTENANCE

No required painting, resealing or refinishing on the face or edges.

  • Thickness

    Traditionally, we see the 5/16” (8mm) thick panels installed on wood.

  • Fasteners
