Exterior Cladding
Richlite is often considered the best product for exterior cladding due to its durability, resistance to weather and ease of maintenance. It is a composite material made from resin-infused paper and is water-resistant, making it perfect for use in outdoor applications. Richlite is environmentally friendly as it is made from recycled materials and is highly sustainable. It is also fire-resistant and is an excellent thermal insulator, which makes it a popular choice for energy-efficient buildings. Due to its lightweight construction, it is easy to handle and install. FAQs
Thickness
Traditionally, we see the 5/16” thick panels installed on wood.
Fasteners
Recommend colored match, stainless steel fasteners. Stainless Steel Fasteners:

Expansion Contraction
We recommend allowing a 3/8” gap on all four sides of the panel.
Rain Screen
Richlite is best installed as a rainscreen application. This allows for equalized air on all 4 sides of the panel and allows for free thermal expansion and contraction. Traditionally, we see the 5/16” thick panels installed on wood (or Richlite) furring strips or extruded aluminum hat and J-channels spaced at 24” o.c. with color-matched stainless steel face fasteners.
