The team behind Noma, recognized as one of the best restaurants in the world, enlisted design studio Spacon & X to plan the space for its new Copenhagen destination POPL. Focused on Scandinavian design and menu of elevated casual cuisine, the informal restaurant's name is derived from the Latin word "populus," meaning a community of people. The minimalist interior marries custom furniture and bespoke artwork with interior surfaces. Countertops in Richlite Black Diamond contrast beautifully with a warm color palette of poppy reds, dusty greens and meadow flowers intended to reflect Denmark's season and POPL's seasonal menu.
